On September 21 and 22, the Government of Monaco's Attractiveness Unit was received in London by H.E. Mrs. Evelyne Genta, Monaco's Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
The Cellule Attractivité was accompanied by the Monaco Private Label, the Monaco Economic Board, the Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and the Association Monégasque des Activités Financières, on a joint international development mission at the Monaco Embassy in London. Led by Frédéric Genta, Délégué Interministériel à l'Attractivité et à la Transition Numérique (Interministerial Delegate for Attractiveness and Digital Transition), this trip was part of the strategic plan for Attractiveness, one of whose priorities is to coordinate, in partnership with public and private players, all actions designed to represent the Principality's interests beyond its borders. It was also an opportunity for the entire delegation and participants to join in the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III.
Following an initial mission to Brussels last June, the aim of this trip was to strengthen ties with the British diplomatic network, and to showcase the Principality's assets to influential local figures. Over the course of the two days, the Délégué Interministériel, his team and all the partners were able to exchange views with some thirty London-based entrepreneurs, investors and legal and tax experts keen to develop a relationship with the Principality. With almost 7% of the Principality's total resident population (IMSEE 2023 report), the Anglo-Saxon community is one of the top 3 nationalities most represented in Monaco. As a major economic player on a European scale, the British capital is a priority destination for the coordinated actions of our attractiveness policy. "London remains one of the most active cities for relocating new residents to the Principality, but it's much more than that. The British capital is an international platform from which we can reach a much wider audience. From India to South America to the Middle East, all nationalities pass through London, and we strive every day to cultivate the network offered by this global center of finance and commerce," emphasizes H.E. Mrs. Evelyne Genta. "The Principality has many assets to attract investors and entrepreneurs. Our ties with London's financial center are close, and our expertise is shared. We look forward to these meetings, which offer concrete potential for the Monegasque economy," adds Frédéric Genta.
