From July 3 to 7, Monaco's Service d'Information et de Contrôle sur les Circuits Financiers (SICCFIN), the Principality's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIUs), took part in the 29th plenary meeting of the EGMONT Group, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The EGMONT Group is an international organization dedicated to fighting money laundering and the financing of terrorism and proliferation (AML/CFT-P).
To this end, it sets up training programs and mechanisms to strengthen FIUs' cooperation worldwide. During the plenary session, the Monegasque delegation, comprising Mr Geoffrey VASSEUR (Head of the Strategic Analysis Division), Mr Stéphane PUPPO (IT Manager) and Ms Ghizlaine DADYOU (IT Analyst and Project Manager), received a "Certificate of Appreciation from the Egmont Group", in recognition of the Monegasque FIUs' contribution to the Egmont Group.
