For over 20 years, ACI Monaco has been offering the entire financial community of the Monaco financial centre access to free training. Professionals with many years of work experience in various Monaco-based establishments and asset management companies give over fifteen courses on a dozen different topics. What are their reasons for doing so? “The desire to create desire,” the desire to exchange, to share, and also to attend courses given by peers. “It’s intellectual sustenance! It keeps us alert and in standby in relation to our work.”
And many are the people who appreciate these courses - contrary to what one may think, they are not mainly students but 83% are professionals. 90% of them consider this training useful for their work, and 94% recommend it to their colleagues or friends. It’s a great success, with an average of around fifty participants per course.
This enthusiasm makes the two members of the ACI Management Committee responsible for training, Sophie Gest and Xavier Dufour, commit to be increasingly demanding regarding course content and variety. All asset classes are covered: the subjects are generally handled in two stages, with an initial general approach followed by a second more specific one. There are 3 new subjects a year on average. And as an added bonus, the classes are held in the splendid lecture theatre of Monaco’s Lycée Technique et Hôtelier. “We particularly wish to thank Mrs Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport, and Mr Jean-Marc Déoriti-Castellini, Head of the Lycée Hôtelier, for the trust they renew in us every year and which allows us to welcome our students in the best conditions; and also the heads of organizations who support our work,” said Mr Robert Laure, ACI President.
