For more than three decades, the IUM has been training future finance professionals and proudly contributing to the economic dynamism of the Principality of Monaco.
In addition to the Master’s programs in “Private Banking & Wealth Management” and “Hedge Funds & Alternative Investments” launched a few years ago, the IUM will offer from September 2023, a Master’s program in “Private Equity & Investment Banking”.
This new program will respond to the growing demand from companies looking for young professionals trained in corporate finance operations, particularly Mergers and Acquisitions.
This program will train students to position themselves both on start-up companies in the capital increase phase, and on mature companies with significant appetite for acquisitions.
The careers to which students can aspire in investment banks, large consulting firms and Private Equity funds, are among the most prestigious but also the most demanding ones. To best prepare the students, IUM has put in place a program over 24 months which will expose them to best practices in the Monegasque financial sector and major investment banks in London. The core and specialism courses delivered in Monaco will allow them to acquire a solid foundation. The term spent in London will give them the opportunity to follow advanced courses and will introduce them to the major institutions of the City in London.
To complete their course, students will then join institutions in London, Luxembourg, Monaco, France and more generally in Europe for their internships to put into practice what they have learned and begin their international careers.
Beyond these programs and specializations, IUM offers continuing education programs on current themes (compliance and ESG Finance in particular). A certifying training course, “International Management of Family Wealth”, in collaboration with the professional network S.T.E.P (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), was also launched in June 2023.
Dedicated to single and multifamily offices and to international asset and estate management professionals, this training, mainly via distance learning, takes place over eight months, and consists of four modules: “Vehicles” in June, “Taxation and Compliance” in September, “Investments” in November and “Family Governance” in January. Each module can be taken independently of the others and is offered once a year on the same dates.
