On November 14th, the AMAF hosted the Minister of State who intervened on the theme "Monaco and Europe". He was accompanied by Mr Jean Castellini, Government Counselor-Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr Gilles Tonelli, Government Counselor-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Mrs Isabelle Costa, Deputy Secretary General of the Government in charge of the Europe-Monaco Unit.
The Minister of State immediately insisted on the importance of the Europe issue, "one of the most important of the State", and answered the question "Why Europe"?
The status of the negotiations was then clarified by Mr Gilles Tonelli, Government Counselor-Minister for Foreign Relations and Cooperation. The European Council will meet in mid-December to draw its initial conclusions, with the next negotiating meeting scheduled for 30 January 2017. Mr Jean Castellini, Government Counselor-Minister for Finance and Economy, emphasized the importance of Monegasque financial services, also discussed during the negotiations.
