After 23 events, the Monaco Yacht Show is a major feature in the Principality. Organised at the end of September, this international exhibition of luxury yachting was further strengthened by this year’s creation of the Monaco Yacht Summit, a meeting point for professionals with very diverse backgrounds. And also an asset for the finance sector.
The audacious bet was rather successful: the day before the official opening of the 23rd Monaco Yacht Show, the Grimaldi Forum hosted a new event also linked to luxury yachting: Monaco Yacht Summit. It provided an occasion for the joint organiser of the two events to host some prestigious guests from the world of yachting and luxury in the broad sense. They included the French designer Philippe Starck but also managers from the Mercedes Benz group, Baccarat and the car manufacturer Venturi, among others. Monaco Yacht Summit, a new opportunity to promote the image of Monaco with select business customers.

The positioning is clear: to showcase the Principality as an attractive country, time after time, especially for investors from all over the world. Like its ‘big brother’, the Yacht Summit opened a new window on the Yacht Club of course, but also on the services of the Chamber of Economic Development and the Convention Bureau, the specialist business tourism team of the Department of Tourism and Conventions. Many professionals from Monaco also followed its talks, among them representatives of the Monegasque Financial Activities Association. Numerous financial institutions based in the Principality offer their customers financing arrangements for yacht purchases. Of course private or company vessels can also be insured in Monaco, according to their size and frequency of use.
