Mohamed Bin Hadi AL HUSSAINI, Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, signed on November 13, 2021, during the Monegasque National Day at the Dubai World Expo, a bilateral tax treaty for the elimination of double taxation on income and the prevention of fiscal evasion and fraud.

The signing of a 36th tax agreement by Monaco is the result of constructive negotiations conducted with the aim of preserving the specificities and interests of both States, promoting their economic relations and improving their cooperation in tax matters. Indeed, under the impetus of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, Monaco has committed itself since 2009 to conclude agreements respecting the standards developed by the OECD for the exchange of information. This agreement is in line with the latest OECD model and respects the measures of the BEPS project (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) to fight against the erosion of the tax base and the transfer of profits.

The Principality is pleased with the excellence of its ties with the United Arab Emirates and the growing relationship between the two states.
