On June 8th, the President of the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities, Mr. Etienne FRANZI, invited the members of the AMAF to a presentation of the activities and results of the banking market. Mrs. Agnès MONDIELLI, Director of the Budget and Treasury, Mrs. Magali VERCESI, Secretary General of the CCAF, and Mr. Christian DELHOMME, Departmental Director of the Banque de France, spoke.
2021 was a good year. Despite the periodic resurgence of the COVID-19, the resources exceeded 150 billion euros, exactly 153.1 billion, with an interesting distribution: 99.4 billion of securities, and 53.7 billion of deposits. The 15% increase over the year was not only driven by market developments. Indeed, nearly 7 billion in new resources were collected. 29.9 billion, an 11% increase compared to December 2020.
In addition, net banking income (the turnover of banks) rose by 4.9% and net income by 37.6%.
