In 2007, a first specific vocational diploma in the Principality (BAC + 3 with alternating training) was established jointly by the Directorate of Labour, the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) and - in its original version -the Nice Banking Training Institute (IBF). As part of its educational content has been developed by professionals, it meets the challenges of Monaco's banking sector.
This year, this training has a new face: the "Bachelor in Business Administration" option "Monaco Banking and Financial Services". The diploma reflects a real need of the job market and is intended primarily for Monegasques, residents of the Principality and young people living in the neighboring municipalities. The International University of Monaco (IUM), new partner, became the referent regarding pedagogy. This training 100% made in Monaco was validated last May by the Committee of National Education.
The costs of this training are paid by employers and reimbursed by the Government of Monaco for young people from the Monegasque school system. Apprentices also receive a wage.
This year, ten banks welcome these young apprentices as part of this training and the linguistic aspect of the degree being essential, the last 6 months of lessons will be taught in English.
