« An Introduction to the Yachting Industry », the new specialization of the International University of Monaco presented at the Monaco Yacht Club.
To mark the 26th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, on the initiative of the « Yachting Monaco » Cluster, the International University of Monaco has welcome at the Yacht Club the 2016-2017 students of the MSc in Luxury Management, which this year integrated into its program a specialization in the field of Yachting: « An Introduction to the Yachting Industry».
In the new premises of La Belle Classe Academy, 55 students, from 20 different countries, have been welcome by Dr Jean-Philippe Muller, General Director of IUM, and Mr Bernard d’Alessandri, the President of the Cluster « Yachting Monaco » and General Secretary of the Monaco Yacht Club.
« With 350 companies located in Monaco and 1,435 jobs, the Yachting sector which is the 4th industry in the Principality, offers many future perspectives for the new generation and I am pleased to have set this collaboration with the IUM. It seems important to me that professionals from the field can come to share and pass on their experience to build the future together. With this new training, Monaco confirms its status of the world capital of Yachting” says Bernard d’Alessandri, who offered to the students a chance to visit the new training rooms of « La Belle Classe Academy » and the Club House of Y.C.M.
“For the International University of Monaco, it is important to offer that new specialization as yachting in Monaco is a high potential field with a strong international exposure. With the help of the Monaco Yachting Cluster professionals, our ambition is to contribute to that economic dynamics by training a future generation of managers in the Yachting industry” says Jean –Philippe Muller, IUM General Director.
