The partnership set up in 2007 by the Employment Service and the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) enabled the creation of the first vocational education diploma sandwich course specific to the Principality of Monaco.
This resulted in the creation of a Bac+3 level diploma, the Diplôme Européen d’Études Supérieures (DEES), whose framework of reference responded to the problems of the Monegasque banking sector. Part of the course content was in fact developed directly by professionals.
The success of this diploma with professionals is confirmed every year, as 88 students have taken this course since 2007, and almost 80% of young graduates from past years are currently employed in Monaco financial centre’s banks and asset management companies.
In order to add extra attractiveness to this qualification, the Employment Service and AMAF have decided – in contact with the International University of Monaco (I.U.M ) as the new education provider – that as of September 2016 it will take the form of a third year "Bachelor of Business Administration" that should have the title "Monaco Banking & Financial Services".
