At the invitation of AMAF - the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities. - Mr Etienne GOOSSE, Secretary General of the European Payments Council (EPC) - visited the Principality on September 29, 2014, to meet with officials - in Administration and AMAF – working for the introduction of these new means of payment by all economic actors in the Principality from the membership of Monaco to SEPA (Single Euro payments Area) in 2009.
During a working meeting - attended by Mrs I. ROSABRUNETTO, Delegate to Financial Affairs, Director of Budget and Treasury, accompanied by Mrs S. VATRICAN and H. FABBRETTI, a delegation of AMAF made up of Master G. MANCEAU, Legal Council, Mrs J. TROUCHE, and Mr Jean DASTAKIAN, Secretary General - he referred to the legal and practical consequences of the recent change in the governance of EPC on the conditions of Monaco companies’ participation to the SEPA system.
He also had the opportunity to meet with President Etienne FRANZI and Vice President for Banking Activities, Patrick GHERARA, to discuss the future of the SEPA system and the Monaco financial place in the "new EPC".
