Last December, Robert LAURE, Vice-Chairman of Julius Baer Wealth Management Monaco, was elected by his peers to the presidency of the Association Monégasque des Activités Financières (AMAF), succeeding Etienne FRANZI.
Robert LAURE joined the governing body of the Julius Baer Group in Monaco, after 43 years in the banking sector.
In 1981, he joined the Italian Banca Commerciale Italiana à Monte-Carlo (BCI-MC) group, where he became deputy director and head of the wealth management department. In 1996, the bank merged with Compagnie Monégasque de Banque (CMB).
Responsible for delegated asset management for collective investment products at CMB, he became the bank's CIO, overseeing various group activities. Executive Chairman of Compagnie Monégasque de Gestion, he is also CMB's Directeur de Gestion, Head of Funds & DPM. He leaves CMB in 2021. He will join the Julius Baer Group in 2022.
Robert LAURE is very involved in Monegasque activities: Past President of ACI The Financial Market Association, Executive Vice-President - Secretary General of Associations d'Entraide in Monaco.
He is also :
- Member of the Audit Committees (Employers' College) of the Caisse Autonome des Retraites de Monaco, CAR, and the Caisse Monégasque de Retraite Complémentaire, CRCM.
- Member of the Finance Committee of the Environmental Fund "The Medfund".
- Member of the Commission d'Examen des Rapports de Contrôle, CERC.
- Vice-Chairman - General Secretary, member of the Board of the Association Monégasque pour l'Aide et la Protection de l'Enfance Inadaptée, AMAPEI.
- Vice-President - General Secretary, member of the Board of the Association Tutélaire des Handicapés Mentaux de Monaco, ATHMM.
Robert LAURE holds a DESS from the Institut Technique de Banque - Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
