It was in the presence of numerous personalities and of its president Etienne FRANZI that the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) launched its annual magazine "Monaco for Finance", this Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Monte-Carlo Bay.
Jean CASTELLINI, Government Advisor-Minister of Finance and the Economy, participated in this launch by returning to an intervention in connection with the news of the Dubai World Expo, on the importance of sustainable development in terms of finance. The concept of sustainable finance is at the heart of the ambitions of the Princely Government, which has set up a dedicated unit for this purpose. AMAF is actively participating in it and has decided to devote the 2021 edition of "Monaco For Finance" to this theme: sustainable finance at the heart of the recovery.
This year, this highly participatory annual review also shed light on the contribution of the digital transition, on the outlines of anti-money laundering measures, as well as on new legislative developments in the Principality.
This brochure, widely distributed to all of AMAF's partners as well as to Monegasque State institutions, is presented on 112 pages as an update on AMAF's activity in terms of promoting Monegasque banking and financial center.
Hervé ORDIONI, Chairman of the “Promotion of the market” commission within AMAF, also spoke about the level of performance of the sector in 2021 and on the theme of this annual edition of “Monaco For Finance”: “ so-called sustainable finance has become a priority area for the market, in particular under the impetus of the Government, which has set up a work unit in this regard to support and structure this major trend.
